Xavier Garza's Obituary
Xavier Garza, 67, of Rio Grande City, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on May 30, 2019. He was born in Rio Grande City, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Ofelia (Gonzalez) Garza.
Xavier served his country in the United States Army where he was assigned as a medic and spent the rest of his years working for the JTPA in Rio Grande City until he retired.
Xavier enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading. He also enjoyed spending time with family and reminiscing about the “old” days.
He is survived by his sons, Xavier (Esmeralda) Garza, Jr., of McAllen, Aaron Garza of McAllen; brother, Jose Arturo (Genoveva) Garza of El Sauz; grandchildren, Mathew Garza of McAllen, Kassandra Garza of McAllen; and many family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Hernandez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, Texas from 8:30A.M. - 10:00A.M. A Rosary Service will be held at Hernandez Funeral Home from 10:00A.M. - 10:30A.M. followed by a Military Interment at Starr County Cemetery.
