Vicente Delgado's Obituary
Vicente Delgado was born on January 22, 1933 in Salinas, Zacatecas in Mexico to Nicholas Delgado and Isidra Jimenez Delgado. He was a resident of Delmita, Texas in Starr County for the past 45 years.
Mr. Delgado entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers and sisters: J. Jesus (Chuy), Ma. Guadalupe, Felipa, Nicholas, and Raymundo; and his wife Maria R. Delgado.
He will be deeply missed by his family and those that came to know him over his 90 years of life.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Vicente Delgado Jr., Hortencia Delgado, Amalia (Noe) Beltran, Socorro Delgado, Esperanza (Roy) Saudia, and Thelma Delgado; his grandchildren: Crystal, Nicholas, Peter, Melissa, Tony, Michelle, Noe Jr., Angelita, Jessica, Thomas, Amanda, Neo, and Michael; and 14 great grandchildren. Additionally, he leaves behind his sisters and brother: Francisca, Chavela, Herlinda, Martha, and Pedro.
The Delgado family will receive friends and family on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at the Hernandez Funerals, 701 E. Eisenhower, Rio Grande City from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The recital of the holy rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.
Funeral services will be on Monday, October 2, 2023 at the San Isidro Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Burial to follow to the Delgado Family Cemetery in Delmita, Texas.
