Ventura Hernandez's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Ventura Hernandez of age 92, he passed away peacefully on Thursday July 20, 2023 at Rio Grande Regional in McAllen surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 14, 1931 in Rio Grande City. Ventura was a dearly father, son, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and were touched by his loving spirit. He is preceded in death by his parents †Jose Hernandez and †Juanita Cruz. He is survived by his children Jose Luis Hernandez (Judy), Noel Jesus Hernandez (Doralisa), Diana Hernandez Canales (Erasmo), his 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings are his brother and sister Raul Hernandez and Rosa Preston. Visitation will be held Sunday July 23, 2023 from 1:00 pm. – 8:00 pm. with a rosary at 7:00pm. Followed by church service Monday July 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm. at Immaculate Conception Church in Rio Grande City. Burial continues Monday July 24, 2023 at the Rio Grande City Cemetery. Funeral services are entrusted by Hernandez Funerals LLC, Rio Grande City, Texas.
