Uvaldo Ortiz Sr.'s Obituary
Uvaldo Ortiz Sr., Age, 85, passed away on Tuesday June 22, 2021 at his residence in La Victoria, surrounded by his family. He was born in La Grulla, Texas, on June 15, 1936 to Lorenzo and Guadalupe Rodriguez Ortiz. He was a great son, husband, father, brother, and a good friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Guadalupe Rodriguez Ortiz and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Luisa Perez Ortiz, and his children, Uvaldo (Maggie Moreno) Ortiz Jr., Leticia (Chad) Wilson and Abel (Renee) Ortiz. Survivors also include his 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Survivors also include his siblings, Apolonio Ortiz, Nieves Ortiz, Emma Mireles, and Odilia Longoria, Adela Solis. Visitation will be Wednesday June 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday June 24, 2021 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am going to Grace Point Church in La Grulla at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at Saenz Cemetery in La Victoria at 12:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
