It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rolando Benavidez, who entered eternal rest on Friday April 05, 2024, at the age of 66, in Rio Grande City, Texas. Rolando was born on September 27, 1957, in Rio Grande City. Rolando was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, nephew, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Israel, and Lydia Garcia Benavidez. Left to cherish his memory is his sons, Rolando Benavidez Jr., Ernesto Benavidez, Rogelio Israel Benavidez, and his 4 grandchildren, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The visitation service will be on Monday, April 08, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a chapel service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday, April 09, 2024, from 8:00 am – 11:00 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am. Followed by Cremation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
