Rodolfo Teofilio Garza's Obituary
Rodolfo Teofilo Garza, 77, of La Presa Ranch, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, surrounded by family.
Rodolfo T. Garza, born on October 15, 1946, at El Coyote Ranch, was the cherished son of the late Rodolfo S. and Anita V. Garza. A proud graduate of San Isidro High School and McAllen Business College, Rodolfo dedicated his life to farming and ranching, taking immense pride in growing crops and raising cattle. He also devoted 25 years to Sun Oil Company, which later became Oryx Energy.
Rodolfo was a devoted member of Saint Isidore Catholic Church and a Honorary Life Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband to his wife, Narcisa, for 55 years, and a proud father to his two sons, Felix and Rodolfo III. He is also survived by his siblings: Omar J. Garza, David A. Garza, Martha G. Williams, and Irma G. Williams.
An avid naturist, Rodolfo enjoyed riding his Kawasaki Mule, feeding deer, and sharing the splendor of nature with his family. His generosity, quick wit, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The Garza family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Castillo and his exceptional staff at DHR Hospice for their compassionate care during Rodolfo’s final days. They also express gratitude to Starr County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their outstanding support and to Dr. Gauri Kanhere for her years of dedicated care.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 2, 2024, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, TX, with a Rosary recital at 6:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City, TX, at 10:00 am, followed by interment at El Coyote Ranch Cemetery.
