Roberto Ochoa's Obituary
Roberto Ochoa, 53, of La Gloria Texas went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. Robert is the youngest son of the late Federico Ochoa Jr. and Irma Laurel Ochoa, also of La Gloria. He is survived by his mother Irma L. Ochoa, his oldest brother Rolando F. Ochoa of Lubbock Texas and his sister Rosalinda (Ochoa) Garza of La Gloria Texas; his nephews Eric (April) Ochoa of Edinburg Texas, Isaac (Linda) Garza of Rio Grande City Texas, his niece Nancy Evette (Eddie) Moniet of Edinburg Texas, Anthony R. Ochoa of Delmita Texas, and Andrew R. Ochoa of Dallas Texas. He is also survived by his great nephews Aiden and Elijah Ochoa and his beautiful great nieces Camila Giselle Moniet and Jaelyn Jenelle Garza.
Robert’s loving memories, life stories and all the special moments he shared with his family and friends will forever hold a place and live on in all of our hearts. Before himself, family always came before anything which was Robert’s true devotion. He was there to always lend a helping hand, provide inspiration, and mentor. His infinite personality truly impacted all his loved ones and the San Isidro community. Robert was a role model and perfect soul to his family and friends, especially his nephews Eric and Isaac and his niece Nancy who share his same passions and consistently called upon him for advice. He humbled himself by giving to all those in need while never asking anything in return.
Robert enjoyed spending his time at the family ranch with his two great nieces, Camila and Jaelyn, watching them grow, teaching them to appreciate nature and slow down to enjoy life. Besides tending to the family ranch being a car enthusiast and NASCAR advocate was his greatest passion. His heart and soul went into building and designing his personal collection of street and race cars. In making his dreams come true, he was often found participating in race events at the Edinburg International Racetrack. His awards and accomplishments will hang permanent on his wall. Hunting, fishing, cruising, and watching football were some of his additional enjoyments of his extensive lifetime list.
While employed for 24 years at Martin Marietta Material, Robert was loved by all of his colleagues. He was best well known for being the “Do it all” employee; where his job duties were from completing office work, mechanic, and field maintenance to operating earth moving heavy machinery and best of all , driving the company prized equipment moving Tractor Truck and trailer . Working less than hard was never in him to do.
Just as his favorite neon shirts, Robert’s smile and laughter was powerful and radiant. Robert will never be forgotten. His stories and advice about living life to the fullest stole the hearts of everyone and will forever keep his legacy alive.
