With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Raul Gonzalez Jr., age, 84, on Monday, February 06, 2023 in his Residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Raul, was a dearly son, father, husband, brother, uncle, grand-father, great grandfather he will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. He was born on February 28, 1938 in Rio Grande City. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Raul Gonzalez + and Maria Salinas+. He is survived by his loving wife, Rafaela Gonzalez also by his loving children, Maricel Flores, Javier Gonzalez, Eduina Ramos, Marco Antonio (Marc) Gonzalez, and Raul Gonzalez, Jessica Gonzalez, Joelda Gonzalez. Survivors also include his 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Wednesday, February 08, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday February 09, 2023 from 8:00 am to 9:45 am going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 10:00 am. Follow by Cremation. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
