Oscar Zarate Lopez's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Oscar Zarate Lopez, who entered into eternal rest on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at the age of 81, in Rio Grande City, Texas. Oscar was a devoted husband, a loving father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather, and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his wonderful family and friends. Oscar was born on December 07, 1942 in El Barrio Los Aldamas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Oscar was preceded in death by his loving parents, Severiano Zarate and Maria D. Lopez Zarate his loving wife, Hilda A. Zarate, and his loving son, Oscar Zarate Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his loving daughter, Martha Garcia. Survivores also inculde his grandchildren, Berenice Zarate, Katalina Zarate, Oscar Zarate III, Alex Lucas Zarate, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom he loved dearly. The Zarate Family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life. The visitation service will be on Monday, April 01, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday, April 02, 2024, from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm going to Cristo Rey Church in La Victoria at 1:00 pm. Burial service will follow at Saenz Cemetery in La Victoria at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
