Oscar Alvarez Elizondo's Obituary
Oscar Alvarez Elizondo, Age, 79, passed away on Friday July 09, 2021 at McAllen Medical Center. He was born in Rancherias, Mexico, on March 25, 1942 to Domingo Alvarez and San Juanita Elizondo. He was a great son, husband, father, brother, and a good friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all. He is preceded in death by his parents, Domingo Alvarez and San Juanita Elizondo and his brothers, Reymundo Alvarez and Francisco Alvarez. He is survived by his wife, Marbella Garcia Alvarez and his children, Marbella Guadalupe Alvarez, Oscar Mario Alvarez, Ricardo (Julia C. Lopez) Alvarez, and Elsa Alvarez (Jose Enrique) Salinas. Survivors also include his 6 grandchildren, and his siblings, Yanira A. Barrera, Amado Alvarez, Raul Alvarez, and Jorge Luis Alvarez. Visitation will be on Monday July 12, 2021 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday July 13, from 8:00 am to 9:45 am going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Paz in La Tierra Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
