Omar Lopez's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Omar Lopez, who entered eternal rest on December 21, 2025.
Omar lived a life deeply rooted in hard work, curiosity, and respect—for his faith, his family, and the land he cherished. He proudly retired from ExxonMobil after many years of dedicated service, where his strong work ethic and leadership earned the respect of colleagues and friends.
A lifelong farmer and rancher, Omar had a deep understanding of the land and a natural appreciation for wildlife and conservation. He was also a gifted historian and storyteller, preserving family history and tradition through stories rich with wisdom, humor, and meaning.
A man of deep Catholic faith, integrity, and humility, Omar leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, purpose, and respect.
He is survived by his wife Juana Patricia Lopez, his daughter Conchita Lopez Schafroth ( Freddie Schafroth ) and his siblings: Esperanza Torres, Grace Lopez Reyes, Heliodoro Lopez and Carlos Lopez.
Visitation will be held at San Isidro Catholic Church on December 23, 2025, from 12:00–2:00 p.m., followed by a Mass from 2:00–3:00 p.m. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest at the family cemetery on the ranch at a later date.
May he rest in eternal peace.
