Nestora G. Ortiz's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Nestora G. Ortiz, on Sunday September 26, 2021 at the age, of 90, in her residence in La Grulla Surrounded by her family. Nestora was our dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Nestora was born on February 03,1931 in La Grulla, Texas, to Salome and Leonor Reyes Gonzalez. She is preceded in death by her parents, Salome + and Leonor Reyes Gonzalez +, and her husband, Lorenzo Ortiz Jr., also by her son, Juan Ortiz, daughter, Antonia Ortiz +. Survivors also include her children, Minerva Zarate, Diana Villarreal, Irene Ortiz, Ramiro Ortiz and Maria Nelia Cortez, Yolanda Regalado, Elvia Diaz, Jorge Luis Ortiz. Survivors also include her 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Wednesday September 29, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday September 30, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, going to Grace Point Church in La Grulla at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Los Solis's Cemetery in La Grulla at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
