Monica "Mona" Guzman's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Monica "Mona" Guzman on April 17, 2023. Monica, was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on December 06, 1983 in La Grulla, Texas to Eraclio "Laco" Guzman and Maria Elena Guzman. She is survived her husband, Juan Angel Lopez and her children, Claudia Vasquez, Ezekiel Vasquez, and Celina Lopez, Israel Lopez. Survivors also include her siblings, Jorge Guzman and Veronica Guzman Escalera and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation for Memorial Service is going to be on Saturday May 20, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
