Micaela Zarate Anzaldua's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Micaela Zarate Anzaldua, age, 78, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Mission, Texas. Micaela was born on March 10, 1946, in La Grulla, Texas. She was the daughter of Santiago and Francisca Gonzalez Zarate. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her silblings, Martin Zarate+, Rene G. Zarate+, Elida Cantu+, San Juanita Bazan+, Hector Zarate+. Micaela was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grand-mother, great-grandmother, niece, and aunt. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bernardo Anzaldua and their children, Jose Luis (Alma Delia) Anzaldua, Joel (Marcelina) Anzaldua, Bernardo (Santos) Anzaldua Jr., Oneyda (Sergio) Lopez. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, her silblings, Hermelinda Garcia, Elias Zarate, Manuela Zarate, Arminda Villarreal, Aniceto Zarate, Javier Zarate along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family. She always put the Lord first, and always wanted to help others. The Anzaldua Family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of her life. The visitation service will be on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City (701 E. Eisenhower Rd in Rio Grande City, 78582). The recital of the service will begin at 6:00 pm. Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 8:00 am to 9:30 am going to Grace Point Church in La Grulla at 10:00 am. Followed by Burial at Los Solis's Cemetery in La Grulla, Texas at 12:00 pm. Hernandez Funerals of Rio Grande City is in charge of funeral arrangements.
