Martina Cantu Flores' Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Martina Flores, who entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2024, at the age of 76, in La Grulla, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Martina was a faithful Christian, a devoted wife, a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her dear husband, family and friends. Martina was born on December 19, 1947, in Los Villarreales, Tamps., Mexico to Juan Cantu and Santos Solis. Martina leaves behind her loving husband, Jose Antonio Flores, and her loving children, Jose Antonio Flores Jr., and San Juanita Ruiz and their respective spouses, Lorena Flores and Carlos Ruiz. Her survivors also include nine siblings, her grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly. The Flores Family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life. The visitation service will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hernandez Funerals La Joya (806 E. Expressway 83 in La Joya, Texas 78560) with the religious service beginning at 6:00 PM. Viewing will continue on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM with a chapel service at 10:00 AM at 806 E. Expressway 83 in La Joya, Texas. Burial service will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview, Texas at 11:00 AM. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in La Joya, Texas.
