Martimiano Chapa's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Martimiano Chapa, on Saturday August 27, 2022 at the age, of 91, in his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Marimiano, was a dearly loved husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, great grand-father, nephew and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Martimiano, was born on July 02, 1930 in La Casita, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Francisco Chapa+, and Martha B. Bazan Chapa+. Survivors include his loving wife, Emma S. Chapa and his loving children, Alberto (Elisa) Chapa, Alejandro Chapa, Arnulfo Chapa, and Raquel (Eudolio) C. Barrera, San Juanita Chapa, Martin (Cynthia) Chapa. Survivors also include his 2 loving sisters, Hilaria Orta, Bernarda Caudillo also by her 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation is going to be on Tuesday August 30, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 9:00 am to 1:45 pm going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 2:00 pm. Followed Burial at La Casita Cemetery at 3:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
