Maria Teresa Zurita's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria Teresa Zurita, on Monday July 25, 2022 at the age, of 96, in her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Maria, was a dearly loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, great-great-grand-mother, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Maria, was born on December 14, 1925 in Mexico. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Romulo Ramirez+, Manuela Gonzalez+ and her loving husband, Reymundo Zurita+ also by her loving daughter, Alicia Pena+, and her loving son, Baldemar Zurita+. She is survived by her loving children, Maria De Luz Rios, Maria Del Carmen Briceno, Guadalupe Zurita, Juana Ozuna, and Esteban Zurita, Estela Zurita, Reymundo Zurita Jr., Juan Angel Zurita. Survivors also include her 36 grandchildren, and 106 great-grand-children, 25 great-great-grand-children and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday July 28, 2022 from 8:00 am to 12:45 pm, going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 1:00 pm. Follow Burial at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
