Maria Rafaela Zarate, Age, 73, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at her residence in Rio Grande City. She was born on December 01, 1947, in McAllen, Texas to German and Paula N. Delgado. She is survived by her husband, Roberto Garcia Zarate and her children, Juan Antonio (Blanca) Zarate, Belia (Juan) Sepulveda, Mario Roberto Zarate, Nora Delia (Miguel) Zarate and Raquel (Jim) Davila Jr, Mirna Estela (Jesus Angel) Pena, Maria E. Zarate, Paula J. Zarate, Noradelia Miroslava. She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Visitation will take place at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City on Sunday, May 02, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday May 03, 2021 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am with a chapel service at 11:00 am follow to Saenz Cemetery in La Victoria at 11:30 am.
