Maria V. Martinez De Benavides' Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria V. Martinez De Benavides, age, 59, on Friday, May 19, 2023 in Edinburg, Texas. Maria, was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on January 12, 1964 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents, J. Guadalupe Martinez+ and Rosa Maria Martinez+ also by her husband, Adrian Benavides. She is survived her son, Adrian Guadalupe Benavides and her step-daughter, Janet Benavides Eddy. Survivors also include many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Sunday May 21, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday May 22, 2023 from 8:00 am to 9:45 am going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
