Maria Teresa Sanchez's Obituary
On October 5, 2023, Maria Teresa Sanchez, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to her eternal rest. A native of Rio Grande City, "Teresita" was the daughter of Andres and Cruz Garcia of Los Garcias. Those who knew her well remember her kind heart, fondness for signing, her sense of humor and her fierce determination and independence. She is survived by her daughters, her son-in-law and grandsons. Teresita was preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Cruz Garcia; husband, Alonzo M. Sanchez Jr.; son, Alonzo M Sanchez III, sisters, Felipa Casas, Odilia Garcia, Antonia Olivarez and brothers, Eduardo Garcia, Andres Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Cecilio Garcia, Manuel Garcia and Jesus Garcia. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of her life. Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 08, 2023 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday, October 09, 2023 from 8:00 am - 9:45 am followed by a Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 101 E Canales Bros St, Rio Grande City, TX 78582 Followed by Cremation. Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals, LLC, in Rio Grande City.
