Maria L. Sanchez's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria L. Sanchez, on Monday, September 12, 2022 at the age, of 93, in Rio Grande City, Texas. Maria, was a dearly loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, great-great-grandmother, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Maria, was born on February 03, 1929 in Mexico. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Anastacio Mendoza+ and Modesta Pedraza Mendoza + also by her loving husband+. She is survived her loving children, Fernando (Maria) Villa, Juan Enrique (Maria Caridad) Sanchez, Rosa Elia (Teofilo) Oyervides, Esmeralda (Saul) Ornelas, Maria Lopez, Rebecca Alaniz, Hilda N. (Juan A.) Ramirez, Martina (Jesus) Chapa, Guadalupe (Adriana Flores) Sanchez. Survivors also include her 34 grandchildren, 52 great-grand-children, 3 great-greatgrandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Wednesday September 14, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday September 15, 2022 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am going to Holy Family Church in La Grulla at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Ruben Solis Cemetery in La Grulla at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
