Maria Elisa Salinas Islas' Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria E. Salinas Islas on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the age, of 76, in Mission, Texas. Maria, was a dearly loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-mother, great-grand-mother, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Maria, was born on October 24, 1945 in Camargo, Tamps, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Jose Islas+ and Eduvijes Flores Islas, and her loving daughter, Nancy Salinas+. She is survived her loving husband, Roberto Salinas and her loving children, Roberto Javier (Angelica) Salinas Jr., Roman (Maria Sofia) Salinas, Maria Luisa (Eliel) Salinas Garcia, Adrian (Rosa A. Guerrero) Salinas, Gabriel (Leslie Lopez) Salinas, Arely Salinas. Survivors also include her 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grand-children, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Thursday September 15, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday September 16, 2022 from 8:00 am to 10:45 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am. Follow Burial at Starr County Cemetery in Garciasville at 11:15 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
