Maria Luz Ortiz, age 90, passed away on Sunday December 31, 2017 in her Residence, in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on March 21, 1927 in Santa Rosa, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her Father, Ignacio Carreon (+) and her Mother, Maria Concepcion P. Carreon (+), also by her husband, Andres Ortiz (+). She is survived by her children, Gloria Barrientos, Rodolfo Ortiz, Irma Ortiz, and Rogelio Ortiz, Ernesto Ortiz, Sandra Hernandez, and Maria de Jesus Ortiz, Maribel Benidez. Also by her Sisters, Maclovia Gonzalez, Martina Chavez, Ester Claudio, and her brother, Juan E. Carreon, also by her 21 grand-children, and 28 great-grand-children and by numerous nieces and nephews.
