Maria I. Garza's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria I. Garza, age, 64, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Maria, was a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on October 19, 1958 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her loving father, Pablo Sanchez+ and her loving son, Juan Enrique (Antonia) Garza+. She is survived by her loving mother, Josefa Sandoval Segundo, and her loving husband, Lorenzo Garza. Survivors also include her loving children, Mario Alberto (Blanca) Garza, Lorenzo (Maria De Jesus) Garza Jr., and Brenda (Roberto) Ozuna, Belen Garza (Lorenzo) Villarreal Jr. Survivors also include her 21 grandchildren, 2 great-grandkids and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday March 24, 2023 from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm with a chapel service. Follow Burial. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
