Maria Elena Garcia's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Maria Elena Garcia, on Friday October 15, 2021 at the age, of 52, in McAllen, Texas. Maria was our dearly loved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. Maria was born on July 31, 1969 in El Barrio Los Aldamas, Mexico, to Victorino and Candelaria Salinas Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents, Victorino and Candelaria Salinas Garcia and her brother, Jose Guadalupe Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Fernando Garcia and her sons, Edgar and Mauricio Garcia. Survivors also include her siblings, Rogelio Garcia, Julia Garcia, Gerardo Garcia and Agustin Jaime Garcia, Maria Valentina Garcia and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Sunday October 17, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday October 18, 2021 from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, going to Holy Family Church in La Grulla at 2:00 pm. Follow Burial at Saenz Cemetery in Victoria at 3:15 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
