It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Minerva Brown, at the age of 72, who entered eternal rest on Friday, September 12, 2025, in her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born on August 12,1953 in Rio Grande City to Victor Magaña and Hortencia Acevedo. She survived by her son Erick Michael Brown. Her Sister Melbel Peña, Her nephews Israel Omar Peña Jr., Aaron Omar Peña, and her niece Danessa Marie Pen. The Brown family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of her life. The visitation service will be on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Tuesday September 16, 2025 from 8:00am to 8:00pm at Hernandez Funerals. Rosary will take place on Monday September 15, 2025 , at 6pm and Tuesday September 16, 2025 at 6pm. Hernandez Funerals of Rio Grande City is in charge of funeral arrangements
