Maria De Jesus Bazan's Obituary
Maria De Jesus Bazan, age, 80, passed away on Saturday April 25, 2020 peacefully at Edinburg Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on July 20, 1939 in El Refugio, Starr County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Francisca B. Chapa and her brother, Blas Chapa, also by her husband Basilio Bazan Sr. She is survived by her children, Basilio (Arminda Munoz) Bazan Jr., Cristobal (Deidra Flores) Bazan, Alejandro (San Juanita Olivares) Bazan, and Irma Bazan (Jesus) Castro, Virginia Bazan (Andres) Leos, Demetrio (Veronica Cantu) Bazan. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, her siblings, Trinidad Chapa, Maricela Reyes and Jose Chapa. Funeral services are limited to immediate family only due to the Coronavirus. Burial to follow on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at La Casita Cemetery at 11.30 am. Funeral services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
