Maria Socorro Barrera, age 86, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2017 in her Rip Grande Regional Hospital in Mcallen, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born on August 17, 1930 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Hermelejilda Penado (+) and by her father, Miguel Gonzalez (+), and by her husband, Benjamin Barrera. She is survived by her, and by her son, Juan Raul Barrera and her daughter, Lorena Barrera. And by her sisters, Juana Sorener, Guadalupe Chavez, Maria del Carmen Gutierrez. Also by her 3 grand-children, and 6 great-grand-children. And numerous nieces and nephews.
