Maria del Socorro B. Zarate, age, 81 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 05, 2020 in her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas. She was born on March 16, 1938 in Los Ebanos, Texas to Tomas Benavidez and Eva Flores. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hector Zarate and her siblings, Tomas Benavidez Jr, Eva Benavidez. She is also survived by her children, San Juanita Grigsby, Livia (Miguel) Guerrero, Pablo (Esperanza) Zarate, Thelma (Narzciso) Melendez, Candelaria (Ramiro +) Perez Jr., Hector (Juana) Zarate, Eva (Raul) Pena, Rodolfo (Sulema) Zarate .She is survived by her siblings, Maria Elena Salazar, Timoteo Benavidez, Arnoldo Benavidez, Raul Benavidez, Carlos Benavidez. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 07, 2020 at Hernandez Funerals from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm follow by Cremation. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals of Rio Grande City.
