OBITUARY MARGARET BENDECK
Margaret A. Wright Bendeck, R.PH. went to eternal rest on February 6, 2019 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Margaret was born on December 3, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan and was raised in Clarkston, Michigan. where she was raised. She was the daughter of Charles Wright and Margaret Wheeler Wright. Upon graduating from high school she went to John Welsley College then earned her degree in pharmaceutical studies from the University of Michigan.
After completing pharmacy school, she joined the US Army, where she served honorably as a pharmacist. Her work led her first to Louisiana and then to Texas. She finally settled in Rio Grande City, Texas where she worked for years at Starr County Memorial Hospital as the director of pharmacy. This was a position that brought much joy and happiness to Margaret and where she met friends that she considered family. She also was a woman of great faith and even during her illness she made every effort to attend services at St. John United Methodist Church. Her bond to this church was great and she considered this church her second home.
Margaret is survived by her siblings Patrick Wright, Mike Wright, Nancy Wright and David Wright and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Gilbert Wright.
Services celebrating the life of Margret Bendeck are being handled by Hernandez Funeral Home in Rio Grande City, Texas. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday February 9, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals, LLC. A funeral service will follow at 5:30 at St. John United Methodist Church in Rio Grande City, Texas.
