With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Manuel Garcia Jr. Sadly, he passed away on Saturday, February 03, 2024, at the age of 88, in Rio Grande City, Texas. He was a loving son, husband, father, sibling, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Manuel was born to the late Manuel G. Garcia and San Juana Pena in Garciasville, Texas. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Idolinda M. Garcia and his daughter, Linda G. (Sabas) Chapa also by his sons, Manuel (Lorena) Garcia III+, Maximiano (Daniela A.) Garcia. Survivors also include his 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. The Garcia family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The Garcia family will receive friends and family on Monday February 05, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals. The recital of the rosary will begin at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday February 06, 2024 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in La Casita at 10:00 am. Followed by Burial at Family Manuel Garcia III Cemetery in Garciasville at 11:00 am. Funeral Services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
