Lidia Saenz's Obituary
Lidia Saenz, age 96, was called to eternal peace on Monday September 04, 2023 at her residence in Garciasville, Texas. She was born on January 20, 1927 in Santo Domingo Ranch, Starr County, and was a beloved daughter, sister, Tia, mama, and valuable friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents, +Jose Saenz and +Juana V. Saenz and her siblings Jose Saenz Jr, Emilia C. Saenz, Lucia Saenz, Oralia Saenz, and Juan E. Saenz. Lidia was a loving sister and caretaker in her community, a loving mother to her nieces, and a devoted aunt to her grandniece and grandnephew who all loved her dearly. She was a mother figure to her nieces, Araceli (Michael) Henry and Melissa (Ignacio) Perales. Other nieces and nephews include Criselda Garza, Ludivina Flores, Abilio Saenz, Arjelia Saenz, Alma Alaniz, grandniece Amy (Raul) Takahashi, grandnephew Justin (LeaAnne) Henry and Jenna (Jose) Gallardo, great grand nephews and niece, Trenton Henry, Raegan Henry, and Enzo Kai Takahashi. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication to her family, wise words of wisdom, as well as many valuable life lessons. She will be missed dearly and fondly remembered by family and friends as the strong willed and independent woman that she was. She devoted her entire life to caring for her family and working until the ripe age of 92. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of her life. Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing will continue on Monday September 11, 2023 from 8:00 am – 9:30 am. The family also invites you to accompany them to mass in honor of Lidia at Our Lady of Peace Church in La Casita, Texas at 10:00 am. Followed by her burial at 11:00 am at Garciasville Cemetery.
