Lidia Ortiz's Obituary
Lidia Ortiz, age, 84, passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on October 03,1936 in Progreso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fidencio and Cenobia Fonseca and her husband, Felix Ortiz Sr. She is survived by her children, Felix (Linda) Ortiz Jr.,Esteban (Maria Elena)Ortiz, Olga Lydia (Hector) Flores and Tomas Ortiz and Fidencio (Alma) Ortiz. Survivors also include her 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Olivia Zavala and Maria Guadalupe Longoria. She is survived by her sister, Estefana Noriega and brothers, Julian Fonseca, Domingo Fonseca and Alfredo Fonseca. Viewing is going to be on Monday January 25, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a chapel service at 5:30 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday January 26, 2021 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am with a chapel service at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to Los Solis's Cemetery in La Grulla at 12:00 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
