Leonor Garza De Saldana's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Leonor Garza De Saldana, age, 84, on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Leonor, was a dearly daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on February 17, 1938 in Garceno, Starr County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Lazaro Garza+ and Josefa Alvarez+ also by her loving husband, Pedro Saldana Jr+. She is survived by her loving children, Juan Antonio Trevino, Jesus Maria Trevino, Odilia Saldana Alvarez, and Pedro Saldana III, Pablo Ernesto Saldana. Survivors also include her loving sister, Rufugia Garza De Chapa and her 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Monday January 30, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am going to Sagrado Corazon Church in Escobares at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at Los Barrera's Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 12:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
