Juan Jose Cantu's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Juan Jose Cantu, on Friday December 15, 2023, at the age of 70, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. Juan Jose was our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Juan Jose was born on July 30, 1953 in El Ejido 5 de Febrero, Tamps, Mexico to Jose Luis Cantu and Leonides Gomez Cantu. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Luis Cantu+ and Leonides Gomez Cantu+ and his wife, Felicitas Cantu Degollado+. Juan Jose leaves behind his loving children, San Juanita Cantu, Jose Luis Cantu, Ana Delia Cantu, Hector Cantu, and Alejandro Cantu, Carlos Cantu, Adrian Cantu. Survivors also include his 23 grandchildren,16 great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. The Cantu family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The Cantu family will receive friends and family on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals at (806 E. Expressway 83 in La Joya, Texas). The recital of the service will begin at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues Monday, December 18, 2023, from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm with a chapel service at 2:00 pm at (806 E. Expressway 83 in La Joya, Texas). Follow Burial at Sullivan City Cemetery at 3:15 pm. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in La Joya.
