With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Juan Abel Alvarez Sr., on Monday December 18, 2023 at the age of 66, in his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by his family. Juan Pablo, was our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Juan Abel, was born on February 25, 1957 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Sabino Alvarez and Olivia Ramirez Alvarez. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sabino Alvarez+ and Olivia Ramirez Alvarez+. Juan Abel, leaves behind his loving wife, Anita P. Alvarez and his loving children. Survivors also include his brothers, Joel Alvarez, Jorge Alfredo Alvarez, Javier Alvarez, Jose Adan Alvarez, and Sabino Alvarez, Manuel Alvarez, Raul Alvarez and his sisters, Diana Linda Ramirez, Sylvia Cox, Maria Guadalupe Alvarez, and Maria Gains, Mandy Alvarez, Eloisa Perez and his 7 grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. The Alvarez family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The Alvarez family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals. Followed by Direct Cremation. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
