Jose Alberto 'Jody" Tijerina's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose Alberto "Jody" Tijerina who entered rest on Friday, May 17, 2024, in Edinburg, Texas. Jose Alberto was born on June 10, 1960 in Rio Grande City Texas. He was the son of Jose Ignacio and Maria Sylvia A. Tijerina, he was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, and uncle. Left to cherish his memory are his loving loving children, Alfonso Tijerina, Erika Lee Tijerina. He is also survived by his loving sister, Veronica Tijerina "Eulalio Leo" Martinez, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family. He always put the Lord first, and always wanted to help others. The Tijerina Family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The visitation service will be on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City (701 E. Eisenhower Rd in Rio Grande City, 78582). The recital of the service will begin at 6:00 pm. Followed by Cremation. Hernandez Funerals of Rio Grande City is in charge of funeral arrangements.
