Jose Luis "Yole" Garza's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Army Retired 1St Sargeant, Jose Luis “Yole” Garza Sr., who entered eternal rest on Sunday April 21, 2024, at the age of 77, in his residence in Rio Grande City, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Jose was born on May 16, 1946, in McAllen, Texas to Alejandro Luis Garza Sr., and Guadalupe Garza. Jose served in the Army for 24 years. Jose was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, nephew, and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Luis Garza+ and Guadalupe Garza+ his son, Luis Rene Garza+ his siblings, Ricarda Escobar+, Pita Garza+, Alejandro Garza+, Julia Garza+, Severo Garza+. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Lorraine Garza and his loving son, Jose Luis (Hilda) Garza Jr., loving daughter, Colleen Erika (Archie) Allen Jr., his siblings, Julian Garza, Guadalupe Reyes and his 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of faith in remembrance of his life. The visitation service will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a chapel service at 5:30 pm. Military Honors will be held at Hernandez Funerals at 4:00 pm Followed by Cremation. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
