With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Diaz Rodriguez, age, 70, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in Edinburg, Texas. Jose, was a dearly son, father, husband, brother, uncle, grand-father, great grandfather he will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. He was born on January 04, 1953 in Camargo, Tamps, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Jose Mateo Diaz+ and Maria Isabel Rodriguez+. He is survived by his loving wife, Irma D. Diaz also by his loving children, Irma Lopez, Jose Diaz Jr., and Esmeralda Salinas. Survivors also include his 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Mateo Diaz, Alberto Diaz, and Jaime Diaz, Maria Diaz and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Thursday, February 02, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm wit a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday February 03, 2023 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm going to Our Lady of Peace Church in La Casita at 12:30 pm. Follow Burial at El Arroyo Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 1:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
