Jose Guadalupe Briceno's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Jose Guadalupe Briceno, on Thursday August 26, 2021 at the age of 75. Jose Guadalupe was our dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, father in law, nephew, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Jose Guadalupe was born on March 30, 1946 in Matamoros, Tamp, Mexico to Felix and Juana Gutierrez Briceno. He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Juana Gutierrez Briceno and his son, Servando Salinas, his brother, Armando Briceno. Jose Guadalupe leaves behind his devoted loving wife, Maria Del Carmen Briceno, and his children, Victor Manuel Briceno, Virginia Briceno, Rosa Maria Briceno, Maria Teresa Briceno, Juan Pedro Briceno and Sylvia Briceno, Jose Guadalupe Briceno Jr., Maria Del Carmen Briceno, Veronica Briceno and Jose Omar Pena, Victor Hugo Pena, Eliamar Pena, Juan Antonio Hernandez, Armando Hernandez. Survivors also include his 48 grand-children and 20 great-grandchildren and his siblings, Felix Briceno Jr., Josefina Briceno, Juan Pedro Briceno, Dora Alicia Briceno, Jose Briceno also many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 29, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Monday August 30, 2021 from 8:15 am to 9:45 am. Going to Immaculate Catholic Church at 10:00 am in Rio Grande City. Follow Burial at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
