Ismael Mares Jr.'s Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Ismael Mares Jr., on Sunday August 22, 2021 at the age of 44. Ismael was our dearly loved husband, son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and close friends. Ismael was born on July 15, 1977 in McAllen, Texas to Ismael Sr., and Imelda Pena Mares. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ismael Sr, and Imelda P. Mares. He is survived by his wife, Maria G. Leyva Mares and his siblings, Ruben Villarreal, Luis Carlos Mares, Marisela Mares also by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Follow by Cremation on Wednesday September 01, 2021. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
