Ismael Cantu Garcia, age, 92, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2020 in Mission Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born on March 06, 1928 in San Pedro Los Aldamas, Nuevo Leon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruperto Cantu Trevino and Rafaella Garcia de Cantu. He is survived by his wife, Ernestina Hinojosa de Cantu also by children, Jose Guadalupe Cantu, Margarita Franco, Irma Salinas, Irene Salinas, and Ismael Cantu Jr., Joaquin Cantu, Francisco Cantu. He is also survived by his 23 grand-children, 41 great-grand-children and 1 great-great-grand-children. Viewing will be held on Monday March 16, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday March 17, 2020 from 8:00 am to time pending going to St. Paul Church in La Puerta follow to La Paz Cemetery in Rio Grande City. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
