Isabel L. Alvarez's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Isabel Alvarez, age, 86, on Friday, January 13, 2023 in her residence in Rio Grande City, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Isabel, was a dearly daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandma, great grandma she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on July 08, 1936 in Escobares, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Fortunato Lopez+ and Agapita Gonzalez+ also by her loving husband, Cornelio Alvarez Sr+. She is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Ludivina (Hobby) Ortega, Virginia Ramirez (Donato Maldonado), and Maria Isabel Alvarez, Mariana (Gary) Garcia, also by her loving son, Cornelio (Mary) Alvarez Jr. Survivors also include her loving 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday January 17, 2023 from 8:00 am to 12:20 pm going to Santa Rose de Lime Church in La Rosita at 1:00 pm. Follow Burial at Los Barrera's Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
