Hermila P. Garza's Obituary
RIO GRANDE CITY – Hermila P. Garza, age, 71 passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Starr County Memorial Hospital in Rio Grande City, Texas. She was born on March 18, 1951 in Barrio Nuevo Leon to Trinidad Pena and Rosa Garcia Pena. She was a great daughter, mother, wife, sister, aunt , grand-mother, great-grandmother and a good friend to all. She will be dearly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Trinidad Pena + and Rosa Garcia Pena +also by her loving brother, Trinidad Pena Jr +. She is survived by her loving husband, Jose Angel Garza Jr, and her loving daughters, Claudia Pena, Anna Garza, Rose Garza, also by her loving sons, Jose Angel Diaz Jr., Ruben Garza. Survivors also include her 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grand-son also by her loving sisters, Clara Garcia, Hilda Villarreal, Gloria Pena, Josefa Gonzalez, Maria P. Oyervides, and her loving brothers Santos Pena, Jesus Pena, her nieces and nephews. Visitation is going to be held on Wednesday June 01, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Thursday, June 02, 2022 from 8:00 am to 9:45 am going Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 11:00 am. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID-19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, TX.
