Herlinda D. Barrera's Obituary
On Friday, August 20, 2021, Herlinda D. Barrera, loving mother of two children passed away at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. Herlinda was born on October 05, 1942 in Mexico to Ignacio De Anda Villarreal and Esperanza Garcia Garza. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio De Anda Villarreal and Esperanza Garcia Garza and her loving husband, Octaviano Barrera. She is survived by her children Ricardo Barrera (Margot Garcia Barrera), Rosalba Barrera Vela (Armando Vela Jr. +) and; her grandchildren, Selena Vela, Armando Vela Jr, Emma Lynda Vela, Andres Garcia Jr. and Ximena Anaya Barrera; Herlinda will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. She is resting with God in paradise. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a service at 6:30 pm. Viewing continues on Tuesday August 24, 2021 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Follow Burial at El Arroyo Cemetery in Rio Grande City at 3:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City.
