Guadalupe Guzman's Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Guadalupe Guzman, age, 85, on Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Rio Grande City, Texas. Guadalupe, was a dearly daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother she will be greatly missed by her beloved family and close friends. She was born on October 08, 1937 in Escobares, Starr County, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, and her husband, Leonel Lopez+. She is survived by her loving children, Romeo Garza, Luis Manuel Olivarez, Esteban Lopez Jr., Norma L. Barron, Ninfa L. Hernandez, and Nancy L. Juarez, Nori Lopez, Noemi L. Barrera, Nelda Guzman. Survivors also include her loving sisters, Tina G. Castillo, Tomie Vega, Josie Mckinney and her 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family, all whom she loved dearly. Visitation is going to be on Tuesday January 31, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 8:00 am to 10:45 am going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 11:00 am. Follow Burial at Escobares Cemetery in Roma at 12:30 pm. Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Funeral services are entrusted at Hernandez Funerals, LLC in Rio Grande City.
