Graciela "Chela" O. Contreras' Obituary
Mrs. Graciela O. "Chela" Contreras, 80 passed away on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at her residence in La Grulla surrounded by her family. She was born on April 02, 1940 in Mexico to Felimon Olvera & Luzgarda Vela Olvera. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rosendo Contreras Sr., her parents, her brothers, Eliazar Tristan and Lorenzo Tristan also by her son-in-law, Ismael Caraballo Jr. She is survived by her children, Rosendo (Idolina) Contreras Jr., Maria E. (Eliazar) Cantu, Clarisela (Javier) Bermea, Martha A. (Roel) Alaniz Jr., Blanca E. Caraballo (Leroy Rocha), Orlando Contreras. Survivors also include 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren by her siblings, Norma Cardenas, Adan Olvera. Graciela, was a migrant worker for many years, went to Illions, to work. She was a wonderful, daughter, mother, grandmother. She enjoyed her life with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well and loved to play bingo enjoy hearing her Mexican music and novelas. Funeral services are limited to immediate family only due to the Coronavirus. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 03, 2020 at Hernandez Funerals from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation continues on Monday May 04, 2020 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am going to Holy Family Church in La Grulla at 11:00 am. Burial Service held at Los Solis's Cemetery in La Grulla at 12:00 pm. Funeral Services are entrusted to Hernandez Funerals of Rio Grande City.
