It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Etica R. Valdez of Rio Grande City, Texas, who passed away on Saturday July 10, 2021 at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Etica R. Valdez to show support. Etica was predeceased by: her parents, Leopoldo Reynaga and Paula Salinas; her beloved husband Osbaldo Valdez. She is survived by: her children, Carmen Soliz, Rebecca Richmond, Jose Elias Perez, and Alejandro Perez, Juan Valdez, Laura Karam, Leopoldo Perez. She is also survived by her 18 grand-children and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hernandez Funerals (701 E. Eisenhower Rd, Rio Grande City, Tx 78582). Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 14th 2021 from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM and at 10:00 AM going to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City. A burial on July 14th at 11:00 AM at the Rio Grande City Cemetery (Rio Grande City, Tx 78582). Due to the current climate surrounding COVID -19, we are limiting the amount of visitors to our facility and requiring all guests to please wear a mask and observe social distancing.
