Emilia R. Solis' Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Emilia R. Solis who entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the age of 78, in Mcallen, Texas. Emilia was a devoted wife, a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her wonderful family and friends. Emilia was born on August 13, 1945 in Rio Grande City, Texas to Encarnacion Rodriguez and San Juana Perez Rodriguez. Emilia was preceded in death by parents, and her sliblings, Amancio Cruz, Eluisa Cruz, Francisco Cruz, Jose C. Cruz, Consuelo Cruz. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Elijio Solis and her loving children, Israel (Elena) Soliz, Belia Soliz, Alfredo Solis. Survivors include her loving sister, Amparo Rodriguez and her 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly. The Solis Family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life. The visitation service will be on Tuesday, April 02, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Wedenesday, April 03, 2024, from 8:00 am – 10:45 am to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 11:00 am. Burial service will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 12:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
