Elva L. Guerra's Obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elva L.Guerra who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the age of 90. Elva was a devoted wife, a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece, grandmother, great-grandmother, greart-great-grandchildren and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her wonderful family and friends. Elva was born on February 27, 1934 to Isidro Luera and Mauricia Canales Luera in Salineno Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joel Domingo Guerra+ and her daughter, Norma L. Guerra, her 2 brothers+, 1 sister.+ Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Isidro Guerra, Dora E.Perez, Hector R. Guerra, Yvonne Y. Mayorga, Veronica Guerra. Survivors include her 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family whom she loved dearly. The Guerra Family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life. The visitation service will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hernandez Funerals with a rosary at 6:00 pm. Viewing continues on Friday, April 19, 2024, from 8:00 am – 1:45 pm to Immaculate Church in Rio Grande City at 2:00 pm. Burial service will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery at 3:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hernandez Funerals in Rio Grande City, Texas.
